Chebeague Island Community Sailing School

Learn to race! In this new racing clinic, sailors will learn the basics of racing in an Optimist or 420. We'll focus on boat speed, strategies for starts and mark roundings, racing rules, and more. Ages 9+, must be a confident sailor having completed at least one beginner, intermediate, or advanced class. Sign up for one date or all four! The class will be lead by Sally Madsen—former captain of the Stanford sailing team and an active racer on Chebeague, along with Instructor Lottie Pare.
